GTV viewers in Jomoro now receiving uninterrupted signals

Viewers of Ghana Television (GTV) in the Jomoro District of the Western Region are now receiving clear and uninterrupted signals and reception following the replacement of a faulty Encoder Moderator at the Half Assini station.

The officer-In-charge of the Half Assini GTV Station, Mr Edmund Andoh, made this known to the Ghana News Agency on Friday.

He said the people in the area would now enjoy live broadcasting of events especially the swearing-in of President John Mahama on Monday, January 7, and the African Cup of Nations to be held this month in South Africa.

A survey conducted by the GNA in the district revealed that GTV viewers were receiving clear reception without using boosters or other transmission equipment as was the case some months ago.

The survey showed that when the encoder moderator broke down about two years ago, only few people with DSTV and Multi-Television could receive GTV signals with majority of the people having no choice but to watch programmes from Cote D’Ivoire.

Most GTV viewers who spoke to the GNA commended management of GTV for restoring equipment at the station.
