Ghana Civil Aviation Authority launches passenger complaints portal
There is some good news for air travellers from and to Ghana as the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) has on Sunday March 15, 2026 launched a portal on which air travellers can lodge complaints for action. The launch coincided with World Consumer Rights Day.
The GCAA is the state agency that regulates air transportation. It also provides air navigation services within the Accra Flight Information Region (FIR), which comprises the airspace over the Republic of Ghana and a large area over the Atlantic Ocean in the Gulf of Guinea.
According to the GCAA the portal is an online platform that enables air passengers with grievances to lodge complaints with the GCAA for redress, adding that it will also provide the Authority with valuable regulatory data to monitor service quality, identify systemic issues and strengthen evidence-based regulatory oversight.
