A two-day national security stakeholders’ dialogue has been held in Aburi in the Eastern Region to discuss security challenges in the country to find workable solutions to them.

The dialogue, the fourth in the series, discussed and examined security challenges such as kidnapping, robberies, political vigilantism and terrorism in neighbouring countries.

It is aimed at sharpening efforts at improving the security architecture in the country.

The meeting was attended by security chiefs, civil society organisations, security experts and government officials.

The participants are expected to draw a roadmap on how to tackle these challenges.

Mr Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, the Minister of Information, in an interaction with the media, said such dialogues are crucial in developing acceptable methods for tackling contemporary security challenges.

He said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is committed to deal with the “security ills” that had plagued the society for many years.

Some senior government officials at the meeting include Mr Yaw Osafo-Maafo, the Senior Minister, Mr Albert Ken Dapaah, the National Security Minister and Ms Justice Gloria Akuffo, the Attorney-General and Minister of Justice.
