The Ministry of the Interior has renewed the curfew hours imposed on Bimbilla Township from 2200 hours to 0400 hours with effect from Friday, January 18, 2019.

A statement issued by the Ministry and copied to the Ghana News Agency on Friday said the renewal of the curfew was upon the advice of the Northern Regional Security Council and by Executive Instrument.

It said the ban on carrying arms, ammunition or any offensive weapons was still in force and any person found with arms or ammunition would be arrested and prosecuted.

The statement advised the people to exercise restraint in the face of the challenges confronting them and use non-violent means to ensure peace in the area.
