Stakeholders commended on Yendi peace process

The Catholic Bishop of Yendi, Bishop Vincent Sowah Boi – Nai, has commended government and all stakeholders for coming out with an acceptable road map on the peace process in relation to the funerals of Ya-Na Mahammadu Abdulai IV and Ya – Na Yakubu II.

In a New Year message, Bishop Boi – Nai also expressed the hope that a similar peace process would occur at Bimbilla for them to perform their funerals.

Speaking at Our Lady of Lourdes Cathedral Catholic Church, Bishop Boi-Nai called on Christians to forgive and forget and love their neighbours as Christ did.

He called on Christians to have a New Year resolution which would guide them throughout the year adding that in this process, it is important to remember the birth of Christ who came to take away our sins.

In a related development at the Yendi Municipal Hospital, six new babies including a set of twins were delivered.

They include a male baby delivered by Madam Zenab Mubarak at 0150hrs and another male baby delivered at 0200hrs by Rashida Adam.

The rest were females delivered at 0640hrs by Amina Fuseini; a female baby delivered at 0758hrs by Ibrahim Balchisu; and a set of male and female twins delivered at 0900hrs by Ama Maanie.

A Senior Midwife of the Labour ward, Janet Adebea, said there were others in intensive care and due for deliveries.
