Fighting corruption demands unity
He said corrupt practices which are gradually becoming the norm did not speak well of us as a nation and called for a concerted effort to curb the practice.
Mr Aliyu speaking at a public education forum on accountability, rule of law and Anti-corruption called on the public to refrain from any act of corruption and as well report such behaviours to the office of the Commission on Human Right and Administrative Justice.
The sensitization fora, sponsored by the European Union, has been organized in 30 places including churches, communities and identifiable groupings to solicit communal support in fighting corruption in the country.
Mr Aliyu said some of the corrupt practices included bribery, nepotism, fraud and embezzlement adding that exercising integrity, transparency and accountability were important in halting the corruption canker.
