“This is an exellent example of a contribution a responsible citizen can make to the development of the community…and this is worthy of emulation.”

The President said government was committed to mobilising whatever assistance it could to enable the Police Service to provide the Ghanaian people with the service they deserved.

He said the Service would be strengthend and fashioned into an honest, disciplined, efficient and robust force whose emphasis would be on proactive and preventative policing rather than reactionary.

President Akufo-Addo gave the assurance that the nationwide rehabilitation of police stations, the recruitment of some 4,000 personnel, the role out of 8,700 close circuit televisions across the country and the allocation of resources for essential equipment would ensure the safety and security of Ghanaians.
