Asamoah Gyan signs for Kayserispor in Turkey

Captain of the Black Stars, Asamoah Djan has completed his move from Shanghai SIPG to Turkish top fight side, Kayserispor. 

The former Sunderland attacker, who was loaned to Al Ahli in the United Arab Emirates for one year by Shanghai SIPG, is making a return to Europe after spending the last five seasons in Asia. 

Kayserispor would be the fifth European Club for the Ghanaian attacker since he left the shores of Ghana.

According to an official statement from the Turkish side, Gyan has signed a two year deal with an option of additional one year.

“Our President, Dr Erol Bedir has reached personal terms with world famous footballer Asamoah Gyan to join Kayserispor. We have agreed a two year deal with an option of addition one year with the Ghanaian. The deal was finalized in Istanbul and Dr. Erol Bedir would travel with Gyan to Kayseri tonight.”

The Turkish side has signed thirteen players so far, as they seek to augment and improve their performance next season, after finishing just above relegation last season.

Gyan, 31, was accompanied by his agent, Kamil Cira and elder brother Baffour Gyan to finalize the deal.
