Neenyi Ghartey VII proposes revamp of defunct Pomadze Poultry

Neenyi Ghartey paramount Chief of Effutu Traditional area has proposed to the government to revamp the defunct Pomadze Poultry Enterprises Limited.

According to him revamping the facility will be beneficial to a Residential Youth in Agriculture Entrepreneurial Development Programme aimed at training the youth in the area to acquire skills to enable them establish their own businesses.
 
He stated that the traditional council was ready to lend support to the government towards the realisation of the programme.
 
The paramount Chief made the call when he addressed a durbar of the chiefs and people of the area as part of activities to commemorate this year’s Aboakyer festival of the people of Winneba.
.
“We pray that President Nana Akufo Addo together and his Ministers will make well-tailored policies to meet the socio-economic needs that will develop our communities”.

 According to Neenyi Ghartey VII Aboakyer was a festival that attracts tourists and crave the indulgence of government and politicians not to interfere in the celebration to preserve it. 

The Paramount Chief also called on President Akufo Addo to lend his support to preserve the Deer hunting grounds saying, “If the forest is properly managed, we are optimistic that this Aboakyer festival will become a major income earning cultural event for the current and unborn”.
