Kwahu youth for development denounces President’s nominee

The Kwahu Youth for Development an  New Patriotic Party (NPP), youth group within the Nkawkaw Constituency has rejected the Presidential nomination of Mr Yaw Owusu Addo as the Kwahu West Municipal Chief Executive (MCE).

At a press conference at Nkawkaw, the group pleaded with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo to appoint Mr Andrew Ameyaw because of his hard work, commitment and loyalty to the people of the area.

They said Mr Ameyaw since 1999 has contributed immensely to the progress of the party even when the party was in opposition, hence the need for the President to consider him as the MCE for the Kwahu West District.

“As a native of Nkawkaw, he is well known in the area and that makes him well abreast with the history, weaknesses and strengths of the Municipality unlike his opponent whom a lot of the people do not know of.”

The group said Mr Ameyaw had improved the living standards of the people in the area by supporting many youth to pursue their education and giving them technical training skills to minimise their financial challenges.

They said over 90 per cent of the Nkawkaw people were in support of Mr Ameyaw to be the MCE for the Kwahu West District and therefore sent an SOS message to President Akufo-Addo to intervene by nominating Mr Andrew Ameyaw for the MCE position for the Kwahu West District.
