Accra Hearts of Oak sink Kotoko

Accra Hearts of Oak trounced arch rivals 3-1 in the first leg of the Ghana’s 60th Anniversary match, at the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday.

The two power houses of Ghana Football locked horns to honor the president of Ghana, H.E Excellency Nana Akuffo Addo who was present at the stadium.

Hearts of Oak’s Kwame Kizito capitalized on Felix Annan’s blunder on the 66th minute to grab the opener for the Phobians, but Kotoko quickly got the equalizer with just two minutes of going down.

Captain Thomas Abbey restored the lead for the homers with a thunderbolt on the 81st minute before Hearts’ chief tormentor Patrick Razak stretched the lead on the 90th.

Kumasi Asante Kotoko will invite Accra Hearts of Oak to the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on May 28, 2017 for the return encounter.
