MTN partners Fero Mobile to launch Fero L100

MTN Ghana in partnership with Leading Mobile brand Fero has unveiled its latest smart phone device Fero L100 onto the Ghanaian Market.

The Fero L100 has a 5-inch HD IPS display which is powered by a quad-core spreadtrum sc9832 processor and runs on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). It has a 5-megapixel front and rear cameras both with flash.

Other features include a 1GB RAM, 8GB storage expandable of up to 32GB, dual SIM capability and powered by a 2,350mAh detachable battery.

Mr Noel Kojo-Ganson, General Manager of Consumer Marketing, MTN Ghana speaking at the launch, said two years ago MTN took a very bold step to acquire a 4G license.

He said by this act, MTN became the first mobile network operator to offer 4G service, an attitude which defined their focus on exploiting the benefits of data and information and communication technology services for customers.

He said the launch of Fero L100 was another entry point in affordable smartphones that allowed MTN subscribers to experience the bold new digital world; adding “tagged as the game changer for mobile phones that support 4G, Fero L100 is superfast and comes with remarkable features at an incredible price.”

He said MTN was committed to leading the delivery of a bold digital world to Ghanaians, adding that “we will continue to invest heavily in our network and roll out innovative digital services aimed at meeting the demands of our subscribers.”

He said this year alone, the company has earmarked on GH¢143 million fund network expansion and optimization, “and enhancing subscribers’ data experience forms a substantial part of that investment.”

He said MTN was expanding its 4G coverage across the country by adding 197 4G sites to the already existing 475 4G deployed nationwide.

“We will also roll out an additional 561 3G sites across the country this year and will continue to lead the way in bringing unmatched data service to Ghanaians.

Mr Sandeep Narayana, the Chief Executive Officer, Fero Phones, said the brand was focused on introducing innovative solutions designed to enhance customer experience.

He said it has a 5.0 inch HD IPS screen with a Dragontrail glass protection and an exceptionally long battery lifespan.

He said the Fero L100 comes with a free-data bundle for six months from MTN, adding there would be an after sales service at all MTN shops with a 12 months warranty.
