Parliament approves 10 deputy Regional Ministers designate

Parliament on Tuesday approved, by consensus, 10 Deputy Regional Ministers nominated by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, and vetted by the Appointments Committee of the House.

Their approval follows a successful vetting by the Appointments Committee, before Parliament’s Appointments Committee, led by Mr Joseph Osei-Owusu, the First Deputy Speaker which took them through their curriculum vitae and their eligibility for the national assignment. 

The Deputy Regional Ministers Designate, now approved, would soon be sworn-in by President Akufo Addo to assume their roles.

They are Mrs Elizabeth Kwatsoe Tawiah Sackey; Greater Accra Region; Madam Elizabeth Agyemang; Ashanti Region; and Bunkpurugu MP Mr Solomon Boar, Northern Region.

The rest are Mr Amidu Chinnia Issahaku, Upper West Region; Mr Adongo Frank Fusieni, Upper East Region; Mr Evans Opoku Bobie, Brong Ahafo; Mr Joseph Tetteh, Eastern Region; Mrs Eugenia Gifty Kusi, Western Region; Mr Thomas Yaw Agyei Baffour, Central Region; and Mr   Maxwell Qothy  Blagogee, Volta  Region.

Contributions from Members of both Sides of the House expressed confidence in the ministers- designate to deliver and perform in their assignments.
