The GhIS also expressed its readiness to assist any entity appointed with expertise to objectively appraise the project.

“Alternatively, the government can mandate the Ghana Institution of Surveyors to do a procurement and or technical audit of the project and advise”.

In a statement signed by GhIS President Emmanuel Tetteh Martey in Accra, and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday assured all Ghanaians that as a professional body, the matter would be followed to its logical conclusion as the “the ethical dimension of the conduct and attitudes towards practices must be uppermost.”

According to the statement “Professional surveyors are enjoined to observe the highest standards of ethics during the execution of duties and avoid corruption, fraudulent, collusive, coercive, and obstructive and prohibited practices as well as avoid conflicting activities”.

“The GhiS shall respond to the outcomes of the investigations whether they are undertaken by our institution or any other body mandated to do so,” the statement said.
