Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications appoints new Board Chair

The Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications has appointed a new Board Chair, the umbrella body of telecoms companies in Ghana has said in a press release copied to ghanabusinessnews.com.

The Chamber has appointed Ms. Yolanda Cuba, the CEO of Vodafone Ghana, as Chairperson.

Mr. Ebenezer Asante, the CEO of MTN Ghana is the new Vice Chair.

According to the release, the appointment of the two was based on a rotation system at the Chamber’s Annual General Meeting on August 2, 2016.

They take over from Ms. Roshi Motman, CEO of Tigo, and Mrs. Lucy Quist, CEO of Airtel, who served as Chair and Vice-Chair respectively, the release added.

The Chamber which was established five years ago, has the objective of collectively supporting governments with policy, regulatory and legislative inputs in order to grow the industry, the release stated.
