Liberty, Hearts split points

FootballLiberty Professionals and Accra Hearts of Oak shared honours at the Accra Sports Stadium, in the 17th week Ghana Premier League (GPL), game played on Wednesday, June 29.

Hearts scored first in the 33rd minute through Cosmos Dauda who received a perfect pass from Samudeen Ibrahim rounded up two defenders before firing the opener.

Hearts held on to the lead till the close of the first half and looked good to increase the tally in the second half but dropped their guards in the second half and allowed Liberty to dictate the pace .

Liberty, managed to scoop the equaliser in the 50th minute through Bernard Arthur who headed a cross past goalkeeper Samuel Akurugu.

Both sides made efforts to secure victory but failed, though Hearts had a better advantage after Liberty played with ten men for the rest of the second half, when Arthur was shown the red card for a violent conduct.
