Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene has warned against multiple land sale to developers by chiefs, saying, that was reprehensible and unacceptable.

They should also refrain from converting reserved areas under development planning schemes – schools, markets, roads and sanitation, into building plots through improper re-zoning.

The Asnatehene was speaking when the newly elected chief of Dadiesoaba, Kumasi, Nana Kofi Attobra II, swore the oath of allegiance to him at his Manhyia Palace.

Known in private life as Mr. Kwadwo Appau, he succeeds the late Dadiesoabahene, Nana Yaw Boateng, who died in May 2011.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu counseled the new chief to carry himself with dignity and to focus on the development of the people, he was leading.

He said this was the way forward to sustain their loyalty.

He again asked him to have the courage to speak the truth and to serve the Golden Stool in sincerity.

Nana Attobra pledged to work hard and with passion to bring progress to his people.
