Ethiopian Airlines sponsors Chinese tourists to Ghana

Ethiopian AirlinesEthiopian Airlines, Africa’s leading airline, will be sponsoring a familiarization trip of Chinese tour operators to Ghana, in partnership with some Ghanaian tour operators, Apstar and Sunseekers tours.

According to Ethiopian Airlines in a statement said the during the trip, the Chinese tour operators will visit Kumasi to tour the city and participate in the Akwasidae Festival where they will be hosted by the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

The airline noted that, the Chinese who are one of the biggest travellers, are increasingly finding Africa an attractive destination and Ghana has positioned itself as their major destination of choice in West Africa.

The Chinese tour operators will also be hosted at a business forum in Accra involving the Minister for Tourism and other stakeholders in the sector.

“They will round off the visit to Ghana with an intensive tour of the castles including the UNESCO Heritage monuments of Elmina and Cape Coast and later the Kakum National park,” the airline said.

Ethiopian Airlines is the fastest growing airline in Africa and the first African airline to fly to Ghana since independence. It was adjudged the best airline in Ghana in 2015, by Executive Business Magazine and is currently implementing a 15-year strategic plan to become the leading aviation group in Africa.
