Samsung Electronics West Africa (SEWA) has launched its 2016 Galaxy A Series smart phones in Accra to give Ghanaians variety and satisfy their digital needs.

The 2016 Galaxy ‘A’ Series consisting of the Galaxy A3, A5, and A7 which are carved from a fusion of metal and glass are upgraded versions of the 2015 counterparts.

Speaking at the launch, Mr Jaspreet Singh, Director of IT and Mobile at SEWA said consumers would enjoy high quality features of the 2016 Galaxy A Series at cost-effective prices.

He said the enhanced processors of the smart phones give users smooth transitions from an application to the other, making it ideal for multi-tasking.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) is powered by 1.6GHz octa-core and it comes with 3GB of RAM. The phone packs 16GB of internal storage that can be expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card.

As far as the cameras are concerned, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) packs a 13-megapixel primary camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front shooter for selfies.

Mr Tetteh Akornor, Product Manager of SEWA, Accra Office said: “Selfies are now more exciting with the Galaxy A Series 2016 because it allows users to take selfie every time with beautiful effects that enhance skin tone, enlarge eyes, and slim the face.

He disclosed that consumers of the A Series 2016 will enjoy amazing packages through the gift app such as discounts at Honey Suckle, Second Cup Coffee and Lord of the Wings restaurants.

In addition, they will enjoy discounts at Nallem Clothing, Niobe Spa and Palace Superstore.

Mr Akornor noted that to complement after sales services, customers finally get to have screen breakage insurance from Electracom, which provides protection from screen breakage in a manner that customers who purchase the device will get one free repair within one year.

He disclosed that Samsung has partnered with some telecommunications companies to offer exclusive free data to customers who purchased the devices including 12GB for 12 months for Airtel subscribers, 6GB for six months for MTN users, 9GB for six months for Vodafone users and 15GB for 12 months for Tigo customers.

“It is an offer that ensures constant internet connectivity to enable users to enjoy the fantastic social media and browser experience the Galaxy A Series 2016 offer”, he said.
