Partnership to develop land for job opportunities

JobsThe Tab Forest Mines Limited, a Ghanaian consortium with its foreign investors in partnership with Ghana Supply Company Limited would develop a 67-acre land in Takoradi-Kejebi at the estimated cost of $150 million.

The partnership which would be in the form of Public Private Partnership (PPP) would see to the formation of a holding company to undertake the project with the name “All Purpose Total Logistics Centre.”

Mr. Albert Kwabena Tabiri, Chief Executive Officer of Tab Forest Mines Limited disclosed this at a news conference in Accra on Tuesday.

He said: “It is now widely known in Ghana that, with the oil find in commercial quantities; Takoradi has now become an investment destination in West Africa and it is only prudent that, this partnership takes advantage of the enormous investment potentials that abound.”

Mr. Tabiri said a memorandum of understanding has been signed by both parties and preparatory works had begun in earnest.

Togbe Hotormah Amedzake III, General Manager of the joint project appealed to the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning to give them support and advice to facilitate the quick take-off of the important project that would offer employment to many Ghanaians.

Dr. Joseph Mamboah-Rockson, Acting Managing Director of the Ghana Supply Company Limited said the project would create job opportunities, especially for the youth in the area.

It would also promote sporting and recreational activities for the people.
