TV3 to launch radio station

TV3Television Network TV3, is set to launch its new FM Station ONUA 95.1 FM an Akan section of Mg radio Accra, which focuses on news and current affairs on Saturday January 16, at Kanda, Accra.

The FM Station is more of community centred with a tagline “ye dwenewo ho”.

A statement issued in Accra on Wednesday and copied to Ghana News Agency said Onua 95.1 FM has emerged to introduce promptness into the media landscape with apt and real news that is devoid of sarcasm and with the advent of social media, information dissemination is readily available and to the doorstep of the ordinary person.

The Akan speaking station is focused on bringing to its listeners accurate and balanced news reportage without embellishment.

The zeal and commitment of management and News/Current Affairs Team at large reaffirms the stations commitment in the delivery of news and current affairs.

As part of activities for the event, a float would start at 9 am, starting from TV3 premises through Accra central, James town, Makola to Teshie through Nungua, to Spintex to Madina to Lapaz through to Kasoa.

There would be live programme transmission from Madina and Lapaz.

There would be a musical concert at 7pm at the Kasoa odupomkpehe Park. Artists to perform include Stonebwoy, Guru, Keche, Kofi B, Kontehene and other gospel sensation including   Joyce blessing, Patience Nyarko, Anita Afriyie and Emelia Arthur.
