Ghanaian journalists urged to be bold in exposing ills in society

JournalistsProphet Kwabena Tawiah, the Founder and Leader of the Church of Rabbi, has urged journalists to be courageous to expose the corrupt practices in the society, especially among members of government.

He said the decadence is drawing back the progress of the nation and is about time those ills are uncovered and eliminated.

He expressed wonder why the citizens should continue to suffer when the country is blessed with so many natural resources such as gold, diamond, bauxites, timber, fertile land for agriculture and currently oil.

Prophet Tawiah gave the advice in an interview with the Ghana News Agency when he celebrated his church’s 30th anniversary at its premises at Ofankor, near Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region.

He said the media must always be on the toes of government officials to tell Ghanaians the truth and demand accountability of the country’s natural resources being exported.

Prophet Tawiah noted that this would make the citizens well informed and prevent unscrupulous people from manipulating the national resources while Ghanaians suffer hardships.

The Prophet eulogized Anas Aremeyaw Anas, an investigative journalist, who recently exposed the corrupt practices of judges and called on his colleagues to emulate him, to wipe out the immoral practices in the society.

He pointed out that more of such wrongs would be coming out and commended the Chief Justice, Mrs Georgina Wood for sacking judges who were found culpable.
