The Board Member of Accra Great Olympics, Fred Pappoe is confident the club will survive the drop with nine matches to end the First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL).

The “Wonder Club”, having a difficult spell in the League occupy the 15th position with 22 points from six wins, four draws and eleven defeat in 21 matches.

Olympics who got promoted to the 2014/2015 season are currently stuck in the relegation zone however; the former Black Stars Management Committee chairman remains buoyant.

Pappoe told GNA Sports that ‘‘I am confident the players are up to the task and with the 1-0 win against Heart of Lions in the Elite Cup Competition in mid-week, it will to a large extent boost the team’s morale to keep on track.

“We are just facing challenges, like any other club in the league but we can survive. We are doing a lot of things to stay in the Premiership. We are motivating the players, working on the technical side as well and I believe we will come out of it”.

He added that “We have victory in mind and we are working towards that and with the quality of players in the team, victory over Bechem will be the beginning of our way out of the relegation zone”.

Olympics will come up against Bechem United in match-day 21 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday.
