NPP affirms June 13 for parliamentary primaries

NPPThe New Patriotic Party (NPP) on Wednesday affirmed June 13 for the holding of the party’s parliamentary primaries across the country.

A statement signed by the General Secretary Mr Kwabina Agyei Agyepong and copied to the Ghana News Agency noted however that primaries at six constituencies have been postponed.

The constituencies are: Bia East, Bia West, Juaboso, Akonmbra in the Western Region; Nadowli- Kalo in the Upper West Region; and Nkwanta South also in the Volta Region.

Primaries in the Klottey Korle, Obom-Domeabra and Akrofoum Constituencies have also been put on hold pending the determination of cases referred to the National Appeals Committee.

The NPP reminded party supporters that the Electoral Commission (EC) is currently printing the notices of poll and the ballot papers for the primaries.

The Party is entreating Constituency Election Committees to liaise with the district directors of the EC for the selection of appropriate venues for the primaries.
