President Mahama appoints new Chief Fire Officer

The office of the President has appointed Dr Albert Brown Gaisie as the new Chief Fire Officer of the Ghana National Fire Service.

According to a statement signed by Mr James Agalga, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of the Interior,  and copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Tuesday, Dr Gaisie is to take over from Brigadier-General Jogn Bosco Guyiri, Acting Chief Fire Officer,  who proceeds on  compulsory retirement.

The statement said, Dr Gaisie has served as a Regional Commander of Greater-Accra, Ashanti and Eastern Regions,  and also served in several capacities in the GNFS, as the Director of Rural Fires, Director of Research, Development and Monitoring,  and until recently the Director in charge of Operations.
