Ghana’s FA Boss endorsed as WAFU Zone “B” President

The West African Football Union (WAFU) Zone “B” has confirmed  Kwasi Nyantakyi as its President at a congress in Kumasi.

This was at the 12th Ordinary General Assembly of the Union, which, amongst others, was designed to take stock of its activities in the last two years.

Representatives of Nigeria, Niger, Benin, Togo, Burkina Faso, Cote d’ Ivoire and Ghana, as well as a delegation from the Confederation of African Football (CAF) were present at the meeting.

Nyantakyi, who is also President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), was unanimously given the mandate by the Assembly to serve for two years.

He has, therefore, retained his position after been elected in 2011 to lead the regional football governing body.

The President thanked the Assembly for the confidence reposed in him and promised to bring his expertise to bear for the growth of the Union.
