Guinea fowl farmers schooled on conflict resolution

Guinea_FowlGuinea fowl farmers in the Upper East Region were on Monday schooled on conflict resolution with a call on them to stay united and chart a single path in achieving their goals.

The farmers, drawn from various districts of the region were taken through leadership skills, group dynamics, effective communication and conflict resolution in their communities.

The workshop was sponsored by TRIAS Ghana in collaboration with the Guinea Fowls Farmers Association (GUIFA) in the Upper East Region.

Mr Nyaaba Adongo, President of GUIFA, called on them to remain united as a team in order to achieve their aim of reducing poverty in the region through the rearing of guinea fowls for domestic and commercial purposes.

Mr Michael Bakiamoh Weyage, Managing Partner of New World Consultancy who facilitated the training, called on members of the association to be prepared for conflicts and in readiness to resolve them when they occurred.

Participants expressed satisfaction at the training and said it had enhanced their skills in dealing with internal challenges they faced as an association and in their communities.
