Amidaus seals GH¢60,000 UT Bank sponsorship deal

footballUT Bank Ghana Limited has sealed a GH¢60,000 sponsorship deal with premier league side Amidaus Professionals.

The deal covers the 2013/14 premiership, with Amidaus Professionals taking home GH¢30,000 for each round of the league.

The one year deal now grants the financial institution the status of a headline sponsor for the side for the season with the logo of the bank to be embossed on all jerseys of the club.

Prince Kofi Amoabeng, Chief Executive of UT Bank Ghana Limited, tasked the club to target a top four spot in the league to enhance their chances of securing an improved package next year.

“You have to give off your best in the season to merit more from us. We don’t want to see you struggling at the bottom of the league table in a bid to avoid relegation.

“Our institution is prepared to do more for your club, but it will be based on performance because that is what will grant us the needed mileage in the competition,” he added.

Baba Gedo Gambo, President of Amidaus Professionals was elated about the support.

He said many clubs had gone on relegation not because of lack of quality players but financial challenges.

“We are in a very difficult time because even the Ghana Football Association is unable to secure sponsorship for the league and the sponsorship from UT could be described as a big relief,” he stated.

UT Bank last season offered the club 30,000ghc to cover the second round of the league, with the new deal representing 50% improvement over the previous one.
