Tullow completes FPSO shutdown maintenance

FPSOTullow Ghana Limited on Thursday said shut down maintenance of the FPSO Kwame Nkrumah has been successfully completed.

A statement from the company said, the shut down which begun on Friday September 20 September, was successfully completed on Sunday September 29.

“All key work scopes including Vessel Inspections and Cleaning, Replacement of Safety Critical Equipment as well as Pressure Relief Valve Recertification identified for maintenance were completed,” the statement said.

It said the production restarted at 1500 hours on Sunday September 29, ramping up the wells to previous production levels as at Monday October 7.

The next shut down maintenance will be held in the second half of 2014 in line with the partners’ commitment to global maintenance and integrity standards used throughout the Oil and Gas industry, the statement said.

A full update on the performance of the Jubilee field will be given in Tullow Oil plc’s Interim Management Statement to be issued in November.
