President Mahama makes Board appointments

President John Drammani Mahama, in consultation with the Council of State, has appointed Commander G. M. Griffiths (Rtd), a former Deputy Minister for Communications as Chairman of the Council of the Ghana Shippers Authority.

A statement issued by Flagstaff House Communication Bureau and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) also said Professor Joshua Abbor had been appointed Board Chairman of SIC Life, with Mr Laud Baddoo and Madam Genevieve Ocansey as Board Members.

The statement said Brigadier General Ishmael Quartey and Ms. Rosetta Olympio had also been appointed to the Board of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) as Chairman and Member respectively.

Other appointments made by President Mahama include Dr. Mawuli Adjei as Board Chairman of the Ghana Institute of Languages and Dr. G. Nasser Adam as a board member.
