Fanteakwa confirms DCE

The Fanteakwa District Assembly on Wednesday confirmed Abass Fuseini Sbaabe, the President’s nominee, as District Chief Executive (DCE).

He polled 49 votes, representing 79 per cent, which exceeded the two-thirds majority he needed to get the nod as the DCE.

Mr Sbaabe who was twice rejected by the assembly, expressed gratitude to members for confirming him and promised to work to their satisfaction and for the progress of the district.

“My doors are widely open to receive everyone, please do not hesitate to give me feedback, especially on my performance in my second term,” he said.

Ms Helen Adjoa Ntoso, Eastern Regional Minister,  appealed to the assembly to cooperate with the DCE to facilitate development.
