Upper West Regional Hospital project starts

stethoscopeWorks on the much awaited 160- bed capacity Regional Hospital for Upper West Region, in Wa has commenced.

The late President John Evans Atta Mills cut the sod for the project in 2010.

The project is being funded by Barclays Bank while Tieso Ghana Limited has kicked start constructional works.

Dr Anthony Osei, Managing Director, Tieso Ghana Limited made this known when Dr Ephraim Avea Nsoh toured the facility, estimated to cost $21.5 million.

Mr George Tetteh, Project Manager said construction works on the facility started in November 2012 and is expected to be completed by December 2014.

Dr Nsoh thanked the contractor for his commitment to execute the project on schedule as well as his desire to do quality work that would stand the test of time.
