Adam Kwarasey can’t be in the post against Zambia.

Goalkeeper Foli Adade has been called up as a replacement for Adam Larsen Kwarasey for Friday’s 2014 FIFA World Cup qualifier with Zambia in Kumasi.

The Medeama SC goalie takes the place of Norway-based Kwarasey, who has been ruled out of the game due to a hip injury.

Kwarasey took no part in the Stars training session on Tuesday morning at the Accra Sports Stadium after sustaining a knock during last Sunday’s Norwegian Eliteserien clash against Viking.

Coach Kwesi Appiah told GNA Sports, a Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan revealed the goalie cannot recover before the Friday’s game.

The development automatically elevates Razak Braimah to number two choice to Fatau Dauda.

Meanwhile, Adade is expected to join the Stars for their afternoon session at the Accra Sports Stadium.
