Gomoa-Sampa gets housing units for teachers

PupilsThe Gomoa West District Assembly has constructed a GH¢65,000 semi-detached housing units for the people of Gomoa-Sampa in the Central Region.

The project is meant to resolve accommodation problems facing teachers and national service personnel.

Mr Kwesi Edumadze, Assemblyman for the area led newsmen to the project site as part of the annual Akwanbo festivities at Gomoa-Sampa.

Nana Okra Tawiah V, Chief of Gomoa-Sampa expressed his appreciation to the Assembly for the project.

He appealed to the Assembly to renovate the bridge which links Gomoa-Sampa and Gomoa-Brofo to facilitate the movement of goods and services.

Dr T.B. Kwofie, a Senior Lecturer at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, a citizen of the town advised parents to strive to provide their children better education so that they could play their parts in community and national development.

He urged the youth to desist from all forms of negative lifestyles likely to hamper their education to enable them win the confidence and trust of their parents.

Dr Kwofie who presided over the function donated GH¢200 and pledged to make further contribution in the form of cement towards the completion of the two public places of convenience initiated by the people.
