Mr. Prosper Lagble, Deputy Volta Regional Director of National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE), has appealed to Ghanaians to again exhibit their maturity to the rest of the world when the Supreme Court announces its verdict on the Election 2012 petiton.
“Let us again show that Ghana always has a unique story to tell about maintenance of peace,” he said

Mr. Lagble was addressing a peace forum by the NCCE at Dzodze.
The forum, attended by representatives of religious entities, the security services, labour, traders, artisan, traditional authority, media, political parties and the youth, was supported by the European Union.

Mr. Lagble said the NCCE was pushing the peace agenda to avert civil disturbances after the verdict.
“I do not think anyone is wishing to see such atrocities visited unto his family and friends” he said

He said tolerance was a moral-binding duty and a legal requirement binding on all to show responsibility towards each other’s safety and rights.
Mr. Stephen Doe, a Senior Education Officer at the NCCE headquarters in Accra, who commented on a film on the Sierra Leone civil war, said such a thing in Ghana would wipe away all gains made by the country and individuals.
Mr. Prosper Apealete, Ketu North District Director of NCCE, agreed with political party representatives that a radio platform for a joint appeal to sensitize their followers to stay away from tension be put in place.

Shocked by the horrifying films on the Sierra Leone war, the people pledged to work for peace.
