Ghana’s Medeama says will participate in CAF Confederations Cup

CAFFA Cup winners, Medeama SC has confirmed participation in the next Confederation of African Football (CAF) inter club competition as Ghana’s representative.

Hans Van der Pluym, just contracted by the Mauve and Yellow told GNA Sports the club will stage participation in the Confederations Cup after piping Kotoko to the trophy last Sunday.

Medeama booked a place in the competition after a lone victory over the Porcupine Warriors who sought for a double and Pluym, insists the club is all set to honour their qualification..

The former Berekum Chelsea trainer who sealed a two-year deal with Medeama late Monday, said plans were far advanced for the team to recruit a few targets to solidify their quest of competing for trophies.

Pluym, 65, tasked with winning the Premiership and challenging for other laurels told GNA Sports ‘I and the management agreed that the dream is to go a step further and challenge for trophies.’

Medeama joined the elite division three seasons ago, winning their first silverware last Sunday.
