Chatham House hosts President Mahama on Ghana’s future

UK Think tank, Chatham House oday June 14, 2013 hosted President John Dramani Mahama in discussion over Ghana’s democratic and economic future.

President Mahama, who is currently in London to attend the G8 Summit, will speak on the topic “Ghana’s democratic gains, economic change and regional influence”.

According to Chatham House, President Mahama will discuss his government’s approach to addressing issues such as effective management of oil revenues, strengthening governance and service delivery, and maintaining a record of accelerated economic growth.

The President is also expected to reflect on the strength of Ghana’s democracy, and present “his vision” for the country’s future and its regional role, according to Chatham House.

The event which was live streamed 18:00 – 19:00 BST, was chaired by Mr Alex Vines, Research Director, Area Studies and International Law; Head, Africa Programme, Chatham House.
