No increase in transport fares – GPRTU

Metro mass busThe Ghana Private Road Transport Union of Ghana (GPRTU) has called on its members should maintain the old lorry fares being charged before the fuel price increase.

A press statement copied to the Ghana News Agency in Accra on Friday said the decision was from a meeting by the National Working Committee of the Union.

It said there would be the need to adjust lorry fares at subsequent fuel price increases by the National Petroleum Authority.

“The House was however disappointed that our Union was sidelined when the National Petroleum Authority made the decision on the fuel issue”, the statement said.
