Opening the training workshop, Captain Anthony Cudjoe (RTD), Metropolitan Chief Executive, said so far, 70 percent of preparations towards the project had been concluded, paving the way for its implementation.

He said the streets would be named after men and women who have passed on and had contributed immensely towards the development of the metropolis.

Captain Cudjoe noted that effective data on the metropolis was necessary as it makes way for easy identification; access and direction, especially in the case of tourists, as well as promoting the increase in revenue generation.

Mr William Amoah, a Planning Consultant, who is leading the exercise, asked the field workers to stick to the content of the maps given to them and seek any needed clarifications or updates on the streets and houses, since that would be key to the success of the exercise.

Mr Ishmael Adams, the GC IncluCity Project Director re-iterated the commitment of his outfit to work closely with stakeholders to deliver comprehensive and effective reformed property tax and business operating permit system for the STMA.

Mr Adams asked the volunteers to be part of the transformative process of the metropolis by giving off their best in the exercise.
