Awutu-Senya District Assembly re-elects Presiding Member

Members of the Awutu-Senya District Assembly on Thursday re-elected Lieutenant Daniel Osadu (Rtd) as Presiding Member for another two-year term.

All the 34 Assembly members present voted for Mr Osadu, the sole candidate.

The election was supervised by officials of the District Electoral Commission led by Mr Dominic Agbango, District Electoral Officer.

Mr William Baffoe, Awutu-Senya District Magistrate, swore Mr Osadu into office after taking the Oath of Office.

Mr Osadu thanked the members for the trust reposed in him by re-electing him to administer the affairs of the Assembly.

He promised not to abuse the confidence they had in him but continue to be committed, dedicated and work hard towards the development of the area.

He said during his second term, efforts would be made to register all members with the National Health Insurance Scheme.

Mr Sampson Abbey Armah, District Chief Executive for Awutu-Senya, congratulated LT. Osadu on his re-election.

He expressed the hope that members would continue to maintain the unity in the Assembly to enable it to develop the area.
