Musician, producer in court on drug charges

law-and-justiceA musician and producer have appeared before an Accra circuit court for possessing substances suspected to be cocaine and cannabis.

Isaac Mensah, a musician and Ulrich Addy, a music producer pleaded not guilty to the offence.

They were, however, remanded into Police custody to reappear on May 28, 2013.

Deputy Superintendent of Police, Patrick Morhek told the court that the complainant, who is a Police officer in charge of Combat 3B Patrol Check Team on the Tema-Accra Motorway, spotted the accused persons in a commercial taxi.

He said a search on them revealed that they were carrying four wrappers of substances suspected to be cocaine and cannabis.

DSP Morkeh said the two were arrested with the exhibits and sent to the Tema Police Station and charged for the offence after investigations.
