Samsung’s Galaxy S4 unveiled in Ghana

Samsung electronics has officially introduced the fourth generation GALAXY S, the GALAXY S4, designed to get consumers closer to what matters in life and bring their world together.

The latest GALAXY S, a sleek and innovative smartphone developed to redefine the way people live and to maximise their fulfilment of life, was launched on Friday at a grand event attended by state officials and mobile IT experts at State House in Accra.

The phone enables users to understand the value of relationships, have true connections with friends and family, and make their lives easy and hassle free.

“The real beauty of the phone is the highly crated design encompassing a larger screen size and battery, minimised bezel, all housed in the (130g) and slim (136.6×69.8×7.9mm)shape that you never thought possible,” Samsung’s press release on the phone said.

Samsung GALAXY S4 is slimmer yet stronger, less to hold yet more to see. It has come up with simply unreal body. It uses polycarbonate, which is a premium material ideal for complementing the beautifully crafted design of the phone as well as for everyday use.

It is currently available in two colour options – black mist and white frost. Variety of additional colour options will be introduced later this year.

“With the Galaxy S4, Samsung is again going to enhance the way we live” said Jaspreet Singh, Business Leader of Handheld Products at Samsung Electronics Ghana.

He added: “All the innovative features of GALAXY S4 were developed based on the insights and needs we found from our consumers all around the world.

“Following the successful galaxy s series, this phone is yet another great proof point of people-inspired innovation. At Samsung we will never stop pursuing innovation conceived by people so we can inspire them in return,” Jaspreet said.

Ghana’s Communication Minister Dr Omane Boamah was happy that the South Korean IT giant chose Ghana to be among the first nations to launch the latest smart phone and noted that it was an admission that the country had come far in terms of Information Communication Technology development.

“The Galaxy S4 is a unique and wonderful product. There are several applications you can find on it,” the Minister said during the launch and stated that Ghana would continue to be the gateway to technology innovations in West Africa.

    GREAT, BUT WON’T YOU SEE SUCH PRODUCT WAS MADE IN GHANA BY GHANAIANS AND BEING USE GLOBALLY. THIS IS WHAT GHANAIANS SHOULD CHANNEL THEIR MIND AND VISION TOWARDS FUTURE GROWTH NOT ALWAYS IMPORTING AND HAVING YOUR MONEY LEAVING THE SHORES TO DEVELOP OTHER COUNTRIES WHILES ALL THAT YOU HAVE IS SIMPLE CELL PHONE WHICH IS USELESS AFTER 3-4YRS OR EVEN LESS.
