Techiman gets chartered Rotary Club

The Techiman Rotary Club at the weekend received a Charter of Recognition from Rotary International to become a full member of Rotarians.

Rotarian Theodore Diop, District Governor of Rotary 9100, representing West Africa, presented the Charter to the club at Techiman.

Rotarian Prince Kobina Tandoh, President of Techiman Rotary Club, said it was established in 2010 by a Dutch Trauma Surgeon, Dr Wegdam.

He said several efforts by the initial six members with the support from Sunyani Central Rotary Club made the Techiman Branch grew steadily with a current membership of 38.

Rotarian Tandoh said with the recognition the club intended to work to improve on health, water, sanitation, education and provision of literature and information and communication technology infrastructure.
