NDC, NPP reminded to accept Supreme Court decision

law-and-justiceThe Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission of Ghana has appealed to the key actors in the judicial contest of the 2012 presidential elections to accept the decision of the Supreme Court.

Maulvi Mohammed Yussif Yawson, the Acting Ameer of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Mission, made the appeal at the 81st annual convention of the Mission at Gomoa Pomadze in the Gomoa East district of the Central Region.

He said the outcome of the unprecedented event has the potential to undermine the peace and stability the country is currently enjoying if it is not checked.

Maulvi Yawson said the Mission was grateful by the assurance and commitment shown by the actors to accept the outcomes of the Supreme Court.

He expressed the hope that whatever decision that would emanate from the highest court of the land will also further enhance democratic governance to consolidate the achievements of the country.

The Acting Ameer said the Mission has also partnered the nation in the areas of Education, Health and Agriculture to create jobs and wealth among Ghanaians, especially the young graduates.

Maulvi Yawson said the Mission has also added its voice to the abominable culture of Same-Sex marriages currently creeping into the country, adding that, the legalization of this shameful and highly objectionable practice in the name of Human Rights is worrisome and called on the government to check the act.

Alhaji Mustapha Ahmed, a Presidential staffer, charged the youth of the country to take advantage of the GHC10 million Youth Enterprise Fund (YEF) set up by the government  to explore  more avenues to enable them to become responsible adults in the Society.

He said the government’s intention to create the Fund was to enable the young unemployed graduates to take advantage of the offer to create jobs for themselves instead of roaming on the streets with no work.

He commended the Ahmadiyya Mission for the important socio-economic advancement role it is playing to ensure the development of the nation.
