Ghana fails to make U-17 World Cup

GFATwo-time African and World champions, Ghana will not be at the FIFA U-17 World Cup 2013 in the United Arab Emirates.

The Black Starlets failed to reach the semi-final stage of the African Junior Championships which would have secured them passage to the World Cup after drawing goalless with Ivory Coast on Saturday at the Mohammed V Stadium in Casablanca.

Ghana came third on the standings in the group as rivals, Nigeria and the Ivorians go through to the last four.

A difficult start to the competition following their 6-1 loss to Nigeria piled the pressure on Paa Kwesi Fabin’s team.

But a 1-1 draw with Congo raised hopes after Nigeria lost to Ivory Coast. The twists and turns ensured that Ghana were handed a lifeline going into their final group game.

The Black Starlets fixed their sights on a win which would have turned around their campaign but their failure to find the back of the net gave them no chance of progressing.

FAILURES ARE GOOD THINK BECAUSE IT MAKES CORRECT THOSE MISTAKES BY MAKING IT RIGHT NEXT TIME YOU HAVE OR GIVEN THE OPPORTUNITY. MAKES YOU WORK HARDER AS A TEAM AND GROW AS A TEAM IN YOUR PERSONAL OR AS A COMMUNITY BUT YOU ALWAYS HAVE TO TRY TO DO YOUR BEST AND THAT IS THE KEY OF SUCCESS IN LIFE. IF YOU DON’T TRY IT HAD TO SUCCEESSED. LIFE FAILURES ARE CONSIDERED NORMAL AND TIME TO REFLECT AS WELL AS TO CORRECT MOVING FORWARD
