US lauds Ghana’s democratic credentials
Mr Gene Cretz, US Ambassador on Wednesday lauded Ghana’s democratic credentials, describing the West African State as the most respectful and peaceful nation in the sub-region.
The US is ready to invest in such an economy, he said when he paid a courtesy call on the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Nii Armah Ashietey in Accra.
Mr Cretz expressed worry about the current labour agitations in the country and asked for clearer explanation into the issue to enlist US intervention.
“I will find out appropriate facilities available to support the sector, “he added.
Nii Ashietey thanked America for expressing so much confidence in the country and assured the Ambassador that the current industrial crisis are not at their peak to deter investment by the private sector in the US.
