Terkper leads Ghana delegation to 2013 World Bank-IMF Meetings

The Finance Minister, Seth Terkper will lead Ghana’s delegation to the upcoming 2013 World Bank-International Monetary Fund (IMF) annual Spring Meetings in Washington DC.

A statement issued by the Finance Ministry says the delegation is made up of officials from the Bank of Ghana including the Governor, Dr Kofi Wampah, Chairman of the Finance Committee in Parliament, James Klutse and officers from the Finance Ministry.

The delegation is expected to participate in seminars and forums such as “Fiscal Forum: The Evolving role of the Fiscal Policy”; High Level Ministerial Dialogue on Natural Capital Accounting; High-level Seminar on Review of the IMF’s policy on debt limits in IMF-supported programmes; the 4th World Bank and Africa Investor Strategic Dialogue (focus on Project Preparation and Early-Stage Financing for PPPs), all at the Spring Meetings.

According to the statement, the Ghana delegation would also meet with the World Bank Vice President and attend the African Development Bank Roundtable on “Infrastructure Financing in Africa”.

Before moving to Washington, the delegation will attend the Global FM Symposium organized by StanChart Bank in the UK.
They will also meet Board Chair of StanChart Bank.
