The Public Service Joint Standing Negotiating Committee (PSJSNC), has declared media truce on the current labour unrest arising out of the implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy in order to reduce tension and facilitate mediation on the issues.

A statement signed by George Smith-Graham, Chairman of the group and copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA), said the Committee also resolved to set up an internal peer review mechanism to assist in resolving disputes before they escalate.

They also resolve to facilitate resolution of the current labour agitations on the implementation of the Single Spine Pay Policy.

The Committee is made up of representatives of government represented by the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations, Ministry of Finance and Ecionomic Planning and the Fair Waghes and Salaries Commission; and representatives of organised labour on the other hand.
