Asante Kotoko has thrown their weight behind Coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani, despite incessant pressure to oust the trainer for nonperformance.

Dr Kofi Kodua Sarpong, Executive Board Chairman of Kotoko has given the strongest hint yet that Dramani, who has come under the microscope following the club’s failure at the CAF Champions League will continue to shepherd their campaign.

He said Dramani would be maintained to ensure consistency in the technical affairs of the club; claiming ‘ It is the policy of the current leadership to build solid structures and would take no decisions that could prove detrimental to the growth of Kotoko.’

The apologetic CEO hinted at plans to gather stakeholders in a brainstorming session to find the way forward, while vowing to make amends.

Kotoko on Sunday exited the competition on an away goal rule following their 1-1 draw with Algerian side, JSM Bejaia when both clashed in a crucial second leg at the Baba Yara Stadium, having, drawn goalless a fortnight earlier.

Things came to a head after the results which curtailed Kotoko’s dream of annexing the trophy they last won in 1983, angered supporter who took the team hostage after the game.
