Ghana takes over 132-megawatt Takoradi thermal plant

ElectricityGhana announced today April 2, 2013 that it has officially taken over the Takoradi 132 MW Thermal Power Plant (T3).

This was after the contractor, Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) completed and conducted successful performance tests on the plant.

The Ministry of Energy and Petroleum in a statement said the signing of the Taking-Over Certificate was done by the Energy Minister, Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah while Ms Trudy Kernighan, Canadian High Commissioner, and John Bayley, Vice President of MAGELLAN AEROSPACE, signed on behalf of the Contractor.
